With several enhancements in the LS Workflow Engine and streamlined LOINC (Logical Observation Identifiers Names and Codes) Import, LS 11.5 will enable labs to quickly identify bottlenecks, allocate resources, and remove roadblocks. Accelerate Results Reporting with Turnaround Times (TAT)
Optimize lab processes, increase efficiency, and improve decision-making in the lab by adding Turnaround Times (TAT) to your workflows.
In the Workflow Engine, users can now establish TAT at two levels: the test level—with Internal Due Date—and at the workflow step level—with Step Due Date— for a more granular view. With a more detailed overview of lab activity using TAT, labs can optimize the allocation of lab personnel and equipment to accelerate sample processing.
Schedule alerts to notify group leaders of when a sample is approaching its due date or overdue. Keep your lab processes moving with enhanced oversight and real-time notifications at both the test level and workflow level.
Configure Lab Workflows and Automation with Advanced Rules for Sample Routing
With the integration of the Rule Manager application within the Workflow Engine, laboratories can configure advanced routing rules for samples, leading to more precise workflows, increased automation, and minimized manual effort. Configure sample routing rules based on patient demographics, trial code or type, or at the sample level.
Gain More Flexibility, Traceability, & Control with Edit Run
Update and correct results quickly and efficiently with Edit Run in the Workflow Engine. This feature enables users to more easily update results with full traceability and access control. Edit Run allows users to modify the sample results, plate results, or equipment, without leaving the system, performing unnecessary steps, or repeatedly processing samples. This feature will also re-calculate the routings of a sample based on edits made to the run.
Additional Workflow Engine Upgrades
- Results Set: Set up sample or plate result specifications for a step using multiple conditions. This feature will permit users to provide a more complete picture of the sample or plate based on its unique characteristics.
- Sample Results Import: Quickly and easily import results using a CSV template. Once uploaded, the system will trigger calculations associated with those samples.
- Print Labels: Users can now print labels for samples both during a run and after a run has been processed.
Keep Current with Medical Codes with Enhanced LOINC Import
Stay up to date with more streamlined functionality for importing the official LOINC list. This feature requires no coding or data manipulation and facilitates simple upload and capture of the most current LOINC data.
